About St. Landry Parish Court Records

Court records in St. Landry Parish are split among the Clerk of Court, the 27th Judicial District Court, city courts, the Sheriff's Office, the District Attorney, and state agencies such as Louisiana OMV and DPS&C. Finding the right custodian matters because a certified divorce judgment, a ClerkConnect case search, a jail roster entry, and an OMV driving record all come from different channels.

Why We Built This Site

Louisiana gives adult requesters broad public-record access through La. R.S. 44:31 and copy rights through La. R.S. 44:32, but those laws still require the right custodian. In St. Landry Parish, the Clerk of Court keeps district-court civil, criminal, traffic, family, and probate files. The Sheriff manages jail custody records, public-safety requests, traffic-fine payment channels, and the parish jail. The District Attorney controls prosecution records and traffic or pretrial education paths. State agencies hold driving records, expungement processing records, and state custody data.

What We Cannot Do

This is a privately run reference site. We have no connection to the St. Landry Parish Clerk of Court, the 27th Judicial District Court, the Sheriff's Office, the District Attorney, Louisiana courts, or any state agency. There are real limits to what we can help with:

  • We cannot file paperwork or send records requests on your behalf
  • We cannot issue certified copies of any court document or vital record
  • We cannot give legal advice or explain how a specific case applies to you
  • We cannot guarantee that every phone number, fee, or address listed on this site is current right now

Only the issuing court or government office can provide a certified copy with an official seal. We can point you to the right office, but the document has to come from them.

Search Partners

Some pages on this site include search boxes powered by third-party providers. Those companies set their own pricing and run their own services. When you use one of those tools and it leads to a paid signup, we may earn a referral fee. That revenue helps keep this site free for visitors. We do not control what those tools charge or what shows up in their results.
